San Diego Padres rookie shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. departed Sunday’s game against the Washington Nationals with a hamstring injury that occurred when he awkwardly did the splits.
“I think everybody saw what happened on the field,” manager Andy Green told reporters after the Padres lost the game 7-6 in 11 innings. “We’re hoping he’s OK. We’ll find out in time.
