When he didn’t show up as planned, his family reported him missing. Around 6 p.m. Tuesday, a driver called 911 to report a body in the South Fork Pit River along Highway 395 about 4 miles south of Alturas. The body was confirmed as Knight’s, and his BMW motorcycle was found in the same area.
