COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 5-month-old infant who had been missing since Monday when he and his twin brother were in a car stolen in Columbus was found safe Thursday in Indianapolis, ending a frantic search for the child and suspect.
Kason Thomass was in good health when he was found in the stolen 2010 Honda Accord near a Papa John’s restaurant, according to Columbus police. Kason was taken to a hospital to be checked out. “We are grateful to the public for their help throughout this investigation and for the tireless work of our officers and our many partner agencies,” Columbus police said in a news release. “They never stopped, never gave up hope, and would not rest until Kason was found. We are beyond thankful for their relentless dedication.”
The child was found shortly after the suspect, Nalah Jackson, 24, of Columbus, was arrested by police in Indianapolis. Jackson is facing two counts of kidnapping, but additional charges are possible.
