We chat with Minx stars Jessica Lowe and Lennon Parham about Shelly and Bambi's relationship and the unexpected places the STARZ show goes to in season 2:
Minx is set in 1970s Los Angeles. It follows an earnest young feminist named Joyce who joins forces with a low-rent publisher named Doug . Together they create the first erotic magazine for women. In season 2, Doug, Joyce, and the team grapple with Minx’s explosive success, which brings more money, fame, and temptation than any of them know how to handle.
Screen Rant spoke with Jessica Lowe and Lennon Parham to discuss where their characters find themselves in Minx season 2, and how they have evolved from when fans first met them. The two actors also revealed what it was like to learn HBO had canceled the show while they were filming the second season, and ultimately landing on Starz.
Jessica Lowe: I think deep down I knew we would find a home. Especially because we were on so many best of and year-end lists. It felt too harsh and too unjust to us for that to be our last round. For fans to never see all of our hard work. We're thrilled that it's found its home.
