JUST IN: Minnesota appeals court upholds Derek Chauvin's conviction for the murder of George Floyd

A Hennepin County jury found Chauvin guilty of second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in April 2022.last year, arguing that he was unable to get a fair trial due to media coverage and the threat of protests. The state, which handled the prosecution, countered that moving the venue wouldn't have made a difference given national coverage of Floyd's death.
