Mini Bar to shut down Jax Beach location
The flagship location of mini doughnut purveyor Mini Bar will be shutting down as of Sunday, the owners of the shop have announced on Facebook.
Opening a doughnut shop was the fulfillment of a dream of Jacksonville natives Brooke Sams and her husband, Chase,Tapping into national trends, the locally owned operation , bringing together tastes from local coffee roasters, candy makers and brewers as well as the made-to-order doughnuts.bringing their doughnuts to Gate ParkwayNow, the owners said, they have decided not to renew their lease when it is up at the end of the month.
"Knowing now what our true needs are, the space is too big , and the layout is no longer conducive to our needs," the said in the post."Compounding that with a location that isn’t ideal, and an impending 10% rent increase, as difficult of a decision as it was, it is clear to us that it is the right one."
