Mindy Kaling celebrated her 45th birthday with the reveal that she privately gave birth to her third child months ago.

"In late February I gave birth to my daughter, Anne. She's the best birthday present I could've ever imagined," Kaling captioned the carousel of photos."When things are hard, whenever I veer towards cynicism, my three kids are such a great reminder of the pure joy in my life. I'm so lucky I live in a place where I could do this by myself, on my own timeline.
"I'm tested sort of every day," she added."And I think it's great. It's really made me grow as a person. I feel like I'm so much more caring, and it's just, that's one of the blessings of parenthood. You just have to think about yourself less and it makes you a kinder person."
