Italian and Dutch service members came to Alaska for Red Flag-Alaska 24-1.

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - In late April and early May , Alaska hosted a handful of units from across the world for Red Flag - Alaska 24-1 , part of the ongoing efforts to improve interoperability and strengthen alliances.

That’s why the ongoing Red Flag exercises hosted here in the last frontier are crucial to increasing capabilities for both our own aviation forces and that of our allies. These exercises involve our international partners, they produce increased sky fighting capabilities for both the U.S. and the nations, with which we have defense agreements.

Exercises like this one aim to increase cooperative efforts through the exchange of tactics, techniques and procedures. “For RF-A 24-1, one thing we are focusing on is integration,” said U.S. Air Force Capt. Kyle Dawicki, 353rd Combat Training Squadron air battle manager. He also said that there was a large utilization of Italian assets.
