The two got real about how Instagram impacts body image.
Lili opened up about how social media can negatively affect users' self esteem, especially when people use photo editing apps to alter their bodies and project an unrealistic body image."I have always approached social media in the way that I don't want to show the perfect version of myself, because I could never live up to that expectation ... That's just not who I am," she told Miley.
"It's such a hard standard to set for yourself ... When it comes to altering your body you're just hurting yourself more than anyone else and you're also hurting the people that are looking at Instagram thinking that's a body that they can have, when you're altering it yourself," the actress continued.
"Already skinny women are shrinking their waists even more and that to me is so frustrating, because there's already so many people with body issues and the way that they see themselves – people look at themselves poorly."
