Brzezinski expressed her agreement with Lightfoot, saying that Trump had “a lack of intellectual ability to know information,” and further criticized her for misusing her platform, calling her “so abusive, so uncaring, and really in a way unfeeling about what is going on.” Viewers on Twitter were split on Brzezinski’s comments, with some arguing that Ivanka got her facts right, and others tweeting that it’s become hard to take “Morning Joe” seriously:
Hey Mika why don’t YOU walk the streets of Chicago? You could care less about the violence in that city. Stop acting like you care. You denounce Ivanka Trump daily. I would guess you envy her position in our country.
