"We believe it's a major win for Teams which played a central role in this broader partnership, and Nadella & Co. are driving this product initiative around collaboration, which ultimately is a negative for Slack given this market and competitive forces," Wedbush analyst Dan Ives recently told Business Insider.
"I think the Teams piece of the partnership is significant, because it shows that Microsoft is very strategic and to have Salesforce from a distribution perspective around Teams is going to create more of a formidable wall as Slack tries to further penetrate some of those enterprises," Ives said.
