MLB picks, predictions, and odds for New York Mets at Atlanta Braves on April 8. MLB predictions and free picks for Mets-Braves.
The Braves are already humming along with one of baseball's best offenses and square off against the Mets, who are turning to veteran starter Julio Teheran to fill the void in the rotation. This bodes well for Ronald Acuna Jr. & Co. at Truist Park.
New York seems to have stabilized after a slow start, winning two of three against the Cincinnati Reds over the weekend. Atlanta swept the defending National League Champion Arizona Diamondbacks in a three-game series to build a 2.5-game lead in the NL East. The Braves have a favorable pitching matchup at home against a weak opponent that they have dominated in recent years. I’m not only taking Atlanta to win tonight but also to cover the run line. The Braves should have their way with the Mets, but I don’t think we’re looking at an offensive explosion — at least not on both sides. That’s why I’m also taking a bet on the Under at 10.5 runs to start our same-game parlay.
The Braves have made nearly three units on the moneyline for bettors this season. The Mets are down over four units on the year.
