James Hetfield called the woman who scared a wild cougar away with Metallica's music

Last week, Canadian resident Dee Gallant was walking her dog when she came face-to-face with a wild cougar. After failed attempts to shoo the predator, she played "Don't Tread on Me" by “I would love to contact them someday and tell James Hetfield that he saved my life,” she told local news station at the time. Now, her wish came true.
“I was a little bit lost for words,” Gallant told CTV. “It’s surreal how quickly it happened and how far it’s gone. The fact that he’s so down to earth and such a great person, I’m very pleased to find that out first-hand.” “If you had told the 18-year-old me that this would happen, I never would’ve believed it," she continued. "I would’ve just fallen out of my skin with excitement.”
After the call ended, Gallant got a selfie from Hetfield and a text that read, “Thought you might like some confirmation that it was me.”
