SJSU tech expert and professor Ahmed Banafa said the recent changes at Apple also impacted the Meta’s bottom line. “When Apple instated monitoring on its system, it caused Facebook to trim a lot of income from advertising,” he said.“There is a big picture here which is all tech companies are preparing for the worst. Inflation is a big problem and companies are waiting to see how the elections turn out and which way Congress will go,” Banafa said.
