Meghan Markle's collection of workplace attire will benefit charity
The pair is working with department stores John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, and Jigsaw to create a capsule collection of workplace attire. In the essay, Meghan said that the project will embrace the “one-for-one” model: for each article of clothing sold, one will be donated to SmartWorks, the nonprofit that Meghan became a patron for earlier this year. “Not only does this allow us to be a part of each other’s story, it reminds us we are in it together,” she wrote.

In her essay, she also wrote about her passion for the charity itself: There is often a misunderstanding about Smart Works being a makeover, a fashion show of “before and after”, where a woman is magically transformed into something better than she was before. But to label it as such would not only be inaccurate, it would be missing the point. This is not a fairy tale. In fact, if it’s a cultural reference you’re after, forget Cinderella–this is the story of Wonder Woman, ready to take on the world in her metaphorical and literal cape.
So far there is no word of when the collection will be available or what it will look like. Here’s hoping that the retailers will have heard of the
