Hot girl summer is here again. Megan Thee Stallion will release 'Traumazine,' her second full-length album, on Friday. The Houston rapper made the announcement Thursday.
Megan has been at odds with 1501 for much of her career over material and release dates."Traumazine" follows her 2020 album"Good News." The new one features Latto, Rico Nasty, Jhené Aiko, Future and Dua Lipa.
One track called"Southside Royalty Freestyle" should be of particular interest to Houston fans. It features Houston rappers Sauce Walka, Big Pokey and Lil Keke. Could it be a play of sorts on Lil Keke's 1997 classic"Southside?" The album has already spawned a trio of singles:"Sweetest Pie" with Dua Lipa,"Pressurelicious" with Future and"Plan B."Joey Guerra is the music critic for the Houston Chronicle.
