Our featured artist today is Andrea Bernadette Verzosa, an outstanding Filipino pianist.
Andrea was a full piano scholar at the Philippine High School for the Arts under the tutelage of Mariel Ilusorio. She was a consistent honor student and received the ' Outstanding Student Artist ' award. She graduated from PHSA in 2020 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Piano Performance at the Kunstuniversität Graz in Austria, after completing her pre-college studies under Prof. Aima Maria Labra-Makk at the Institut Oberschützen.
There was a lot of heavy damage, and we had no electricity for nine months, so we learned to improvise and adapt to a life using generators in our classrooms and without the internet, surrounded by nature.Since I now live in Austria, which has a culture and environment very different from what I was used to at PHSA, I think my ability to adapt to any environment is one of the most important life lessons I carried with me from my PHSA days.
