Police search for Mini Cooper driver who allegedly struck and killed man walking along Capital Beltway early Saturday morning.
September 23, 2023 at 1:31 p.m. EDTThe Maryland State Police are searching for the driver of a Mini Cooper who they believe drove off after striking and killing a pedestrian walking along the Capital Beltway early Saturday morning, authorities said.Officials described the car as a 2009 to 2014 Mini Cooper that likely sustained damage to the right front-end from the crash.
Just before 2 a.m. Saturday, authorities said, a man walking on the southbound side of the Capitol Beltway near Ritchie Marlboro Road was struck by a car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said they would release his name after notifying his family.Anyone with information about the crash can call the Maryland State Police Forestville Barrack at 301-669-8100.
