The MCU launches a cybersecurity lab to forge the next generation of cybersecurity specialists.
CPAL is designed to strengthen an organization’s cybersecurity. This includes tools and assessments from partnered cybersecurity firms, customized solutions, training, research, policy support, incident management, monitoring, public outreach, and, of course, alignment with national initiatives. That last bit is crucial. CPAL has received endorsements from multiple government agencies, such as the DICT, BSP, the Insurance Commission, and the National Privacy Commission.
CPAL will also offer certification programs for professionals for continuous learning and development opportunities. Students can use the lab for immersive education experiences. In line with this, the MCU will include a cybersecurity program to its Bachelor of Science and Information Technology to begin developing the next generation of the country’s cybersecurity landscape.
