, the 3.3-liter e-Skyactiv-D inline-6 combines a “right sizing” concept together with a mild-hybrid system.

There are two states of tune for the new engine—200 horsepower for the rear-wheel drive variant, and 254 horsepower for all-wheel drive variants. Both come with a 48-volt Mazda M Hybrid mild hybrid system. Plus, the inline-6 configuration produces less vibration due to its characteristic ‘perfect balance’ which should give it a smooth and quiet engine tone. It should also deliver a cleaner, more engaging sound.
