Jeremy Renner's Mike McLusky is back in the new trailer for MayorOfKingstown season 2. The new season hits Paramount+ on January 15, 2023.
Jeremy Renner has a big mess to clean up in the new trailer for Mayor of Kingstown season 2. Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon teamed up to create Mayor of Kingstown, a gritty drama starring Renner as Mike McLusky, an ex-convict who serves as “mayor” of a town where incarceration is the only business. After wrapping up a pulse-pounding first season on Paramount+ , the show in early February 2022 received a season 2 renewal.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Now fans are finally getting their first look at what will go down in the highly-anticipated Mayor of Kingstown season 2. It’s of course no surprise that season 2 finds Renner’s Mike McLusky still up to his elbows in problems, given everything that went down in season 1, including the huge prison riot and all the mayhem that ensued because of it.
Mike meanwhile is having to deal not only with the still-angry prisoners, but with the cops who clearly want to start cracking some skulls. Will Mike be able to stop all-out war from breaking out? As if all this weren’t enough for Mike to deal with, there’s also the matter of Iris , who is still trying to piece things back together after all the trauma she went through in Mayor of Kingstown season 1 .
Fans naturally want a happy ending for Mike and Iris, but it looks like the pair will have to navigate a lot more trouble before getting their chance to escape Kingstown once and for all. It’s of course important to remember that Milo was Iris’s boss, and may want to get his hands on her again now that he’s out of prison.
