Opinion: Mass shootings and the need to change nation: Letters
In the news, many world leaders spoke of the Robb Elementary tragedy. Sadly, mass shootings have become a common occurrence in the U.S. The fact is, mass shootings oftentimes are meticulously planned and find a way around gun control laws.
Maybe, just maybe if parents of today actually became parents and didn’t let their children have and do anything they wanted we wouldn’t be in the situation we are now. Seems parents want to sue for social media addiction. Yet they take no responsibility for their children’s actions. When a parent gives them phones, computers and video games they should set time limits. and monitor them.
Being the “bad guy” isn’t fun but being a parent and bring up a well mannered productive human should be their goal. Otherwise we’ll have another generation of people that don’t want to work and would rather sit around collecting welfare.
