A Leominster man faces criminal charges after prosecutors say he tried to stab a flight attendant with a broken spoon and open an emergency door during a flight from Los Angeles to Boston.
At that point, according to the court filing, the cabin crew told the pilot they believed Torres was a danger to the flight and they needed to land immediately. "Torres then allegedly thrust towards one of the flight attendants in a stabbing motion with a broken metal spoon, hitting the flight attendant on the neck area three times," according to the DOJ.
