After a close first quarter, Maryland slowly pulled away from the tournament's top-seeded Buckeyes, earning its first win over a ranked team this season, 82-61. OSU missed its first four field-goal attempt but warmed up and rallied for a 17-12 lead at the end of the first quarter.
All seemed right in the world for Ohio State, the league's regular-season champions who came into the tournament looking to secure a No. 1 seed in this month's NCAA Tournament.
