Marvel Studios confirms John Krasinski's Mr. Fantastic in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness had a secret Doctor Doom connection. One of the biggest surprises to come in the Phase 4 Marvel Cinematic Universe film happened when The Illuminati team of Earth-838 was revealed. Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange met the team during his multiverse adventure, encountering alternate versions of Baron Mordo, Peggy Carter, and Maria Rambeau.

The appearance of Krasinski in Doctor Strange 2 left audiences wondering if he would continue to play the character in the MCU.
The detail of the teleportation device he uses to get into the scene is something we took from the comics, that’s Doctor Doom’s Time Platform. The confirmation of John Krasinski's Mr. Fantastic using Doctor Doom's Time Platform in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is notable. Victor Von Doom, a.k.a. Dr. Doom, is the Fantastic Four's most iconic villain and one of the most powerful in Marvel's history. The comics introduced his Time Platform in 1962 as Doctor Doom's version of a time machine.
It is not yet clear if Doctor Doom's Time Platform in Doctor Strange 2 is part of the MCU's larger plans or just a small detail included for fun. A multiverse version of Doom could be a threat in a potential Secret Wars movie, which the Doctor Strange sequel also set up through mentions of incursions. Then again, it would be somewhat surprising if Marvel Studios introduced Doom as a multiversal threat right from the start. Fans will likely be best off treating Mr. Fantastic's Dr.
