The first season showed a significant rift between Virgil and Billy, as Virgil neglected his son's needs and failed to nurture their relationship. However, actors Mark Pellegrino and Alex Neustaedter tease that viewers may see Virgil making more of a fatherly effort in upcoming episodes.
Virgil And Billy's Relationship May Improve In Season 2 Screen Rant: Alex, we see Billy in the season 2 trailer, so we know that he's going to be somewhat okay after the finale, but how is he going to recover mentally from everything that he went through in prison? On that same note, Virgil isn't known for being the best father, but could we see some development on that front in season 2?
Mark Pellegrino: I do. Maybe I'm naive, and I think that most people have that in them if it's tapped, if the right conditions are present, and it just so happens that the right conditions are present to open Virgil up to what he's missing. It could also be that he's getting older and somehow that works. Our biological clock works on us and opens up information to us that we weren't previously privy to.
His relationship with Lee is also getting more and more complicated. What can you say about that dynamic moving forward?
