The water level in Marikina River rose on Monday morning, prompting the local government to raise the second alarm as Tropical Storm Enteng brought rains in different parts of the country.In its update on Facebook page, the city government’s public information office said the Marikina River rose to 16 meters at 8:32 a.m.Second alarm means residents are advised to evacuate.When the water level reaches 18 meters or the third alarm, a "forced evacuation" will be imposed.At 7:51 a.m.
In Metro Manila, government work and classes in all levels in public and private schools were also suspended.At 7 a.m. Monday, Enteng was estimated to be located 100 kilometers north northwest of Daet, Camarines Norte or 115 km east northeast of Infanta, Quezon, moving Northwestward at 15 km per hour, according to PAGASA.The tropical storm was packing maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and had gustiness of up to 90 kph.
