Mariah Carey officially turned 54 years old yesterday, and she rang in the milestone by taking a deep dive into the new chapter of her life—literally. On Instagram, the Grammy-winning singer shared a video of herself plunging into the ocean by jumping off a yacht.
In the clip, Carey wears a hot pink wetsuit with black paneling down the sides. She also appears to carry a pair of black sunglasses outstretched in one of her hands. In a second clip, Carey briefly emerges from the water, only to dive head-first back in. A mix of her 1997 single, "Honey," played over the montage.Fans flooded her comments with well wishes.
"Ur just THAT GIRL!!! So effortlessly!!! Happy Anniversary Mimi! 💖👑🐑🥳," one user wrote. "The grip on those sunglasses 😂 Happy anniversary Queen!!" another added.The day before, Carey posted another video of herself to Instagram in anticipation of her big day.
She once again played one of her own singles over the clip, this time using her 2005 track, "It's Like That."
