As the Philippines Air Force (PAF) transitioned to its new leadership, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. called on the Air Force to continue working closely with the administration in keeping the peace and security of the country.

“I hope that under the leadership of our newly-appointed commanding general, the air force will continue to strive for honor, for excellence as you fulfil your mandate to our country and to our people,” Marcos said. As he led the transition of leadership, Marcos lauded the accomplishments of the PAF under the helm of Canlas which include the establishment of “a more dependable and capable air force that protects now our airspace.”
