PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will soon issue an order for the lifting of the state of public health emergency in the country brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa said Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters, Herbosa said he was waiting for the resolution from the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.'Wala pang formal , we're still waiting for the [order], eh de facto naman tayo ,' Herbosa said during a chance interview.
'The instruction for me is to recover from the Covid and get back on the economy,' he added.Former president Rodrigo Duterte on March 8, 2020 declared a state of public health emergency due to Covid-19.The state of public health emergency will remain in effect unless lifted or withdrawn by the sitting president.
