DAVOS, Switzerland: President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. said his government is not keen on building up its armory, saying that militaristic solutions 'will end badly for everyone involved.'During a dialogue with World Economic Forum President Børge Brende here, Marcos insisted that a military solution is not always the answer to every conflict.

'Like I say, if a similar situation would arise in the region, then it would be actually -- I would say it would be disastrous for the rest of the world as well, not only for the region but for the rest of the world,' he added.Surigao del Sur Rep. Johnny Pimentel has claimed that Congress earmarked and increased by P6 billion the budget for the Armed Forces of the Philippines modernization program or AFPMP for this year.
