President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has appointed Paulino Gutierrez as the new executive director of the Presidential Task Force on Media Security .
This was confirmed by the Presidential Communications Office to reporters on Monday. Gutierrez's appointment letter was dated May 19, 2023.The PTFoMS was created in 2016 and is under the Office of the President. It aims to protect journalists from all forms of threats and guarantee media freedom in the country.
