President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has chosen Acorda, a fellow Ilocano and PNP Director for Intelligence,Acorda, who became the PNP’s chief of the directorate for intelligence in August 2022, is a member of the Philippine Military Academy “Sambisig” Class of 1991. He served as Palawan Police Provincial Office chief from 2014 to 2016. He also served as the Regional Director of the Police Regional Office 10 in Northern Mindanao.
