Man Spikes McDonald's Sundaes With Sleeping Pills, Judge Says It Was 'Unsophisticated and Clumsy Offending'A New Zealand man who spiked two McDonald's ice cream sundaes with sleeping pills and gave them to his girlfriend and her sister has avoided jail.
He then drove back to his girlfriend's home to give one to her and one to her sister. The court heard how the women found the sleeping pills in their sundaes as the 22-year-old had not crushed them up properly. "We ate them at home, and we all found traces and whole pills of prescription medicine. My sister ingested one. I found one in my mouth and spat it out," one of the women wrote.
