UPDATE: A man reportedly shot and killed his father, then shot at police before officers shot him overnight in Glendale. More here:
Glendale police say they got their first call from who they believe was the suspect, who allegedly said that he was at a family gathering and had been stabbed.
Officials then say responding officers could hear gunshots coming from the home, but were still searching for anybody who had possibly been shot. The suspect was taken to an area hospital where police say he has undergone surgery and is expected to live. Once released, he will be taken into custody.
