Rayshawn Watkins, 28, of Cleveland, and a 32-year-old woman were shot about 2:30 a.m. at the Million Dollar Club, located on Clark Street near West 44th Street, police said. Watkins suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, police said. Officers administered first aid until an ambulance arrived to take him to MetroHealth, where he was later pronounced dead.
The woman was shot in the arm and was also taken to MetroHealth, police said. An update on her condition was not immediately available Thursday afternoon.Witnesses told police that a fight began inside of the club and spilled outside. An unknown man began shooting, and Watkins and the woman were shot, police said.The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police at 216-623-5464.
