Phoenix police say Aaron Scott Byous was shot and killed after the homeowner was confronted by multiple people, who later fled.
Police have identified 41-year-old Aaron Scott Byous as a man who was shot and killed Sunday morning near 15th Street and Kristal Way in Phoenix.
Around 8 a.m., Phoenix police responded to a call of multiple shots fired inside a residence, according to Sgt. Melissa Soliz, a spokesperson for Phoenix Police Department. Officers found Byous there with gunshot wounds. He was later was pronounced dead at the scene by the Fire Department. "Early information indicates the homeowner was inside his residence with a group of people," Soliz said in an email."The homeowner was confronted by multiple people and a gunfight occurred inside the home."
Soliz said Byous was shot and killed by the homeowner, who police have not named. The people who came to the home with the victim fled after the shooting.Information about what led up to the shooting was still under investigation. There have been no arrests.
