Christopher “Jake” Carrizal was indicted on a felony aggravated assault charge stemming from a May incident.
Christopher “Jake” Carrizal, 41, was indicted last month on a felony aggravated assault charge, and he was initially also jailed on a misdemeanor count of family-violence assault in connection with the May 24 incident, according to court records. He’s scheduled to appear in court next week. His attorney, Toby Shook, said although the police gang unit investigated, there wasn’t any gang activity in the incident.
The Dallas assault charge was filed after a man reported that Carrizal and another man, Eric Grindstaff, loudly revved motorcycles outside his Old East Dallas home about 1:10 a.m., so he told them to stop, according to an arrest-warrant affidavit. The man told police that Carrizal and Grindstaff came to his front door and began to kick it while saying they were going to kill him.
When police arrived, Carrizal yelled it was all him and said Grindstaff had nothing to do with it, according to the affidavit. Both men wore vests with “Bandidos” on them.Carrizal and Grindstaff — who also was indicted on an aggravated assault charge last month — each posted $50,000 bond shortly after the arrests, according to court records. Grindstaff’s attorney could not immediately be reached for comment.
