Man fatally shot in front of City Heights home ID'd [Breaking]
San Diego police on Thursday released the name of a 35-year-old man who was killed in a shooting in front of a City Heights home earlier this week.just after 11 a.m. Tuesday on 40th Street between Thorn and Redwood streets, police said.
A bystander found him in a front yard and started first aid. Officers and paramedics tried CPR and took him to a hospital, where he died about a half hour later, police said.Lt. Jud Campbell said the shooter had confronted Cruz. The lieutenant added that it appears Cruz knew the shooter, but the nature of their relationship was not quite determined as of Thursday.
A detailed description of the shooter was not available. Police said the person ran away after the shooting. Anyone with information about the case was asked to call the Homicide Unit at 531-2293 or the San Diego County Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 580-8477.
