Authorities arrested a man in Pasay City for allegedly raping a 12-year-old teenager, James Agustin reported Tuesday on "24 Oras."The 34-year-old suspect was struggling when he was arrested by cops from the Batasan Police Station after he arrived at a bus terminal in Pasay City.The police also retrieved a loaded gun from the suspect.“Nakatanggap po tayo ng impormasyon na cited itong suspek somewhere in Bicol.
According to the police, the suspect allegedly raped the teenager in 2023 in Manapala, Negros Occidental.During the investigation, the police found that the suspect’s gun was not licensed.The police are still determining if the gun was used in other crimes.“Ipapa-crossmatch din natin yan doon sa mga areas kung saan siya galing na mayroong reported na shooting incident,” Avenido.Documents are being prepared for the return of the warrant for the statutory rape case of the suspect.
