The local government units of Malabon and Quezon City have designated areas in their cities where firecrackers and fireworks use will be allowed during the celebration of the New Year.
In a letter submitted by Malabon City Public Safety and Traffic Management Office Chief Col. Reynaldo Medina Jr. to Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval on Dec. 28, the recommended “common firecracker areas” in the city are Plaza Diwa in Barangay Tugatog and Malabon People’s Park in Barangay Catmon.The city government said City Ordinance No.31 enacted in Dec.
