MacKenzie Bezos to give half of her $36 billion fortune to charity via YahooFinance
MacKenzie Bezos, worth more than $36 billion after divorcing Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, announced on Tuesday that she will give at least half of her fortune to charity.
“There are lots of resources each of us can pull from our safes to share with others,” the fiction author stated in a letter published on the Giving Pledge website. Bezos previously funded cancer research, and founded the anti-bullying organization Bystander Revolution. She is one of 19 signatories of the Giving Pledge announced on Tuesday.
