As Chicagoans prepare for Lunar New Year celebrations in the Chinatown and Uptown neighborhoods, safety is even more of a priority following"That's our top concern. There will be a visible presence, and then there will be an invisible presence as well," said 11th Ward Alderwoman Nicole Lee.
Although the deadly shooting does not appear to be racially-motivated, DePaul University Psychology Professor Anne Saw said Asian Americans across the country were already on edge about their safety.
