The Land and Transportation will implement its “no plate, no travel” policy on tricycles used as public transportation in Quezon City starting July 1.In a statement, LTO said the strict implementation of the policy comes after the agency was able to address the almost 3,000 backlog in tricycle license plates in the city last month.
LTO said it will coordinate with the Quezon City local government with the implementation of the policy.Mendoza said the “No Plate, No Travel” policy in Quezon City will serve as a pilot run of the stricter road safety and anti-colorum measures as the LTO plans to implement the measure nationwide, particularly on four-wheel vehicles.Mendoza also urged car dealers to distribute license plates to clients as there are no backlogs in four-wheel vehicles.
