LSU DB Sevyn Banks was taken off the field on a stretcher after suffering an injury on the opening kickoff against Auburn.
Banks went in to make a tackle headfirst on the opening kick and did not move after making contact with Auburn kick returner Keionte Scott.
After the hit, Banks was loaded onto a stretcher. LSU was handed a 15-yard penalty after the play after a video review determined that Banks' hit was worthy of a targeting infringement. According to the ESPN broadcast, Banks was responsive as he was being lifted onto the medical cart. He is also being sent to East Alabama Medical Center. LSU CB Sevyn Banks was injured and taken off the field on a stretcher on the opening kickoff vs. Auburn.
