A low pressure area embedded in the Inter-tropical Convergence Zone is affecting some areas in Visayas and Mindanao but it is unlikely to escalate into a tropical depression, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.Weather specialist Benison Estareja said the LPA was 1, 710 kilometers east-southeast of Mindanao.
Its trough will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Caraga and Davao Oriental.'This weather disturbance has a slim chance to develop into a storm over the next two days but this may bring rains in some areas especially in Visayas and Mindanao,' Estareja said.Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon continues to affect Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon where partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with light rains may prevail.
