WHILE the low pressure area (LPA) off Palawan is likely to dissipate, another weather disturbance may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) within the day, the state-run weather agency said on Sunday.

Weather specialist Patrick del Mundo of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the LPA inside PAR is 410 kilometers northwest of Puerto Princesa City but may dissipate in a few hours.

The weather disturbance, spotted some 985 kms east of Northeastern Mindanao, will likely enter PAR within the day but will have 'no direct effect to the country as it has a slim chance to develop into a tropical cyclone,' Del Mundo said.
