A low pressure area (LPA) and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring rains over parts of the country, according to weather bureau PAGASA on Saturday.
The LPA was spotted 695 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar as of 3 p.m., based on PAGASA’s 4 p.m. weather forecast.
The Davao Region and Soccsksargen will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the LPA and ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the wind speed forecast for the whole country will be light to moderate, moving southwest to south, while coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate.
