A low-pressure area (LPA) located east of Southern Luzon is forecast to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Sunday and has a high chance of developing into a tropical depression within 24 hours. The LPA's trough will bring rains over parts of Luzon, with possible landfall in Northern and Central Luzon. Meanwhile, other areas will experience scattered showers due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
A low pressure area located east of Southern Luzon is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Sunday. Its trough will bring rains over parts of Luzon , PAGASA said.At 3 a.m., the LPA was located at 1,395 km east of Southern Luzon , still outside PAR."Mataas ang tsansa nito na ma-develop at maging isang ganap na bagyo within the next 24 hours," PAGASA weather specialist Grace Castañeda said in the 4 a.m. public weather forecast.
On Monday and Tuesday, the trough will most likely bring rains over the eastern part of Southern Luzon and a big part of Visayas. Then on Wednesday, rains may be expected over most parts of Luzon and Visayas.Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms on Sunday due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly result in flash floods or landslides.
