Coastal flooding is possible with the mid-day high tide cycle and tonight’s high tide cycle. Fortunately, the mid-day high tide is the lower of the two high tides today, but if any heavy rain coincides with that, flooding could be exacerbated. Tide gages across our area recorded last night’s high tide at 2 to 3 feet higher than normal, so this is the general expectation today.Tuesday will still be breezy with a few showers but we may sneak in some sunshine. Temperatures will begin to moderate some, but will still be below average in the low 70s.
Wednesday looks like the nicest of the week with temperatures back to the upper 70s and partly sunny skies.4:15 AM: Bands of heavy rain are advancing toward the St. Johns and Duval Co. coasts this morning. Along with gusty winds, prepare for a slower commute.
